Whether you believe or doubt, you’ll leave with unforgettable stories, possible paranormal evidence, and a deeper connection to one of Texas’s most haunted towns.

The Haunted Rogers Hotel
Waxahachie’s most chilling tale, built in 1913 after two previous versions burned down, the Rogers Hotel has hosted celebrities like Frank Sinatra—but it’s the unseen guests that leave the biggest impression. Decades ago, a young girl tragically drowned in the basement swimming pool, and many believe her spirit never left. Visitors report phantom piano music, flickering lights, and an elevator that mysteriously descends to the now-sealed basement. One chilling encounter involved a man in 1920s clothing who vanished after warning, “Very bad things have happened here!”

Ellis County Courthouse
Built in 1895, the courthouse is famous for its ornate sandstone carvings, many of which feature twisted faces and mysterious expressions but it’s also famous for many reports of strange sensations near the building—cold spots, whispers, and the feeling of being watched. Maybe the courthouse’s long history of trials, frontier justice, shootings within, public gatherings, and emotional intensity may have left behind spiritual energy.

Odd Fellows Lodge #80
Built in 1891 as the Texas Mortgage Banking Company, this historic building became the Lodge Hall of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in 1912—a fraternal group known for its secretive rituals and symbolic ceremonies, but also for their benevolence and charity work within their community. Since then, the building has been steeped in mystery. Visitors and investigators have reported: cold spots, sudden temperature drops, disembodied voices, singing, whispers, shadowy figures moving through the halls, and even full body apparitions! Some believe the building’s long history of ritual gatherings has left behind a spiritual imprint—one that still lingers in the walls today. Sandy Emmons and her husband, Andy Emmons, are long-time members and Past Grands of the Order.
